Mason County's new tourism website is open for business at www.ExploreHoodCanal.com. Funded by county-wide lodging tax revenue, the website showcases Mason County at its very finest. In addition, 125,000 copies of a new full-color tourism brochure are now being distributed on the Washington State Ferries and throughout western Washington. The brochure invites visitors to come and explore Hood Canal, South Puget Sound and the Olympics and features photos, editorial, points of interest and a county-wide map.

Hood Canal Creative, a Mason County team of professional writers, designers and photographers, provided all content for the website and produced the 12" x 18" brochure. OUTLOOK Writing & Design in Belfair is proud to be a part of this team. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to work together on a creative project benefitting Mason County.

The website and the brochure are the first steps in a larger tourism marketing strategy with the main goal of drawing visitors and guests to visit, stay and play in Mason County. All tourism efforts are funded through a partnership of the Mason County Lodging Tax Committee, City of Shelton Lodging Tax and the Squaxin Island Tribe.

Next up is the publication of the official Mason County Visitors Guide - slated for printing and distribution in February 2008. Watch for it!
